Episode 5

How do I properly integrate keywords into my website content to help my business get found online?

Hey there. Ryan Kelly, your host of SEO on the Go. Welcome back.

In my last video, I explained how to do high-quality keyword research. In this video I’m going to talk about how the keywords work within the content of the website. So maybe you just found 20, 30, 40, or 50 phrases that you want to be found for while doing your keyword research. That’s kind of like eating an elephant. It’s huge. So how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!

Step 1 for me is looking at the website first. I would do an audit to see if the phrases I want to be found for are already on any of the pages. Step 2, I would look for pages that had similar phrases already on them that I can change and repurpose a little bit to be more strategic and specific about the phrase in which I want to be found.

Then once you do that audit you’ll be able to identify all of the phrases that don’t have a home in your website. That’s okay. That’s where you eat the elephant one bite at a time. You start writing pages of content every week. One a week, one every other week, doesn’t matter. Just start. You slowly start dripping in new content and adding it into your website. That’s a very important way and an easy way to integrate your keywords into your website.

In my next video, I’m going to talk about keyword proximity and keyword density — how long your content should be to be recognized. Like my video, subscribe to my channel and check out my social links. Until next time, I’m Ryan Kelly, your host of SEO on the Go.
