Hey there and welcome back to SEO on the Go! My name is Ryan Kelly and I’m your host and today I’m going to be answering the question: what is conversion tracking? In my last video, I helped you guys decide and determine what your high intent engagements were. We called that a conversion, a phone call, a download of an app, a purchase of a product, a chat being started, or a downloaded document. What is your high intent conversion? So in this video, we’re going to talk about how conversion tracking works, right?
Well, conversion tracking works like this. You put a piece of code in your website because your website, it’s super smart, it knows if people are coming in from Google, from Yelp, from Facebook, from anywhere. So what you’re able to track is the time, labor, and money that I’m spending on search engine optimization, on Yelp, on Facebook, on TV, radio, it doesn’t even have to be online. Conversion tracking is the idea of starting an insurance policy to track all the different places you’re spending your time and money and making sure that they’re paying off.
So how does conversion tracking work? You install code behind your website and you have a purposeful plan on how to track your conversions and you monitor and track that return on investment clearly so that you know and can justify if you should continue spending your time and money there.
That’s what conversion tracking is, so my name is Ryan Kelly. If you liked this video, please like it, if you’re interested in future videos, click subscribe, and until next time, I’m Ryan Kelly, your host of SEO on the Go!
